Artist Statement

M. Lind is a multidisciplinary artist based in Taos, New Mexico. She explores neurodivergent cognition, perception, failure, and the tension between order and disorder.

Lind works with diverse materials including string, rocks, paint, wire, photography and experiments with them in the studio and natural environments. She investigates how meaning changes through participation, revision, and intuition. Before focusing on her studio practice, Lind worked as a landscape architect, shaping spaces for human experience.

Her work has been exhibited in New Mexico and New York, including a SaveArtSpace billboard in Brooklyn and a Paseo Project pop-up at Hotel Willa in Taos.

In 2026, Lind completed a residency at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, where she developed an immersive installation exploring collective space-making and human connection. That work became the starting point for a five-part series of string installations spanning New York, desert landscapes of Utah, and culminating in The Order of Things at UNM-Taos, New Mexico.

She is currently traveling full-time across the United States with her family, creating temporary artworks in the landscape while unschooling her 10-year-old son.
